Picking Up Wynn Today!!!

     Today sometime between 9:00 pm and 2:00 am our time, Dawn will be meeting Wynn for the very first time!!  I'm hoping that she will have time to Skype tomorrow morning and then I can see my son!!  I'm also hoping for some pictures too so I can share them with everyone who has poured out thier love for us.  I'll continue to keep everyone posted.  Please pray that Wynn is healthy, happy and bonds with Dawn.  Isabella and I can't wait to re-unite with Dawn and Wynn!!  Thank you God for finally bringing Wynn home to his forever family!!   

Made it to China!!!

Dawn and aunt Debbie have made it safely to China!!  Tomorrow morning they will meet with the rest of the adoption group of families and on Monday she will meet Wynn for the very first time!!  I'm waiting to talk to Dawn but I know that she is resting up and probably glad that all of the flying is over for the time being.  Please continue to keep Dawn and aunt Debbie in your prayers and I'm hoping that before the end of the week that they will be able to post pictures from China.  God bless, Frank.

Traveling to China to Pick Up Wynn!!!

     We just want to let everyone know that we are traveling to China this week to pick up our son Wynn!!  We are so excited about finally bringing Wynn home to his forever family.  We apologize for not updating our blog since last August but we have been busy, busy, busy.  Isabella and Baba will be staying home while Mama and Aunt Debbie travel to China.  Isabella is excited about meeting her baby brother and both her and Baba look forward to greeting Wynn with lots of hugs and kisses.  We have done a lot since August and we are so thankful and blessed for all the support from our family and friends.  Without our family and friends, this adoption would have not been possible or at least it would've been more challenging.  We thank God everyday for his blessings and we are so happy to know that everyone who has showered us with their love is a part of our adoption journey.  I posted some photos of Isabella over the past few months and a picture of our precious son Wynn.  Please pray that Dawn and Aunt Debbie have a safe trip to and from China.  We will update our blog throughout our trip and keep everyone posted!!  Thank you for all of your support!

Pictures of Isabella and Update......

We are moving right along with our adoption.  We have just finished our home study visit last week and next for us will be our finger prints through Homeland Security.  We also sent a care package so please pray that Wynn has received his goody package and the nanny's are taking lots of pictures.  We are so excited Wynn is joining our family.  Isabella talks about baby brother all the time.  She is so sweet!  Wynn's bedroom is coming along.  Isabella loves playing in his room with his very cool toys.  Enjoy the attached pictures and we'll keep everyone posted when we here more news about our adoption journey.  Keep us in your prayers.

Isabella Update and Exciting News!!!

     Well it's been nine months since our last post.  We've been busy, busy, busy.  First let me tell you about Isabella.  Since her surgery in October, her Cleft Palate has really healed very well.  Isabella still has a good appetite and most of all her teeth are now in.  
     Isabella celebrated her birthday last month and is now 2 years old!!  She is learning new words everyday and is getting really good at using them.  Her personality has really blossomed. She is such a sweet girl.  She still loves watching Sesame Street and reading books at bed time.  She is really into coloring and likes it when her Baba colors with her too.  We bought a bicycle seat to fit on dawn's bike and we usually take a bike ride at least once or twice a week.  She loves bike riding especially since we're doing all the pedaling.  When Isabella rides with Dawn she rubs her back and when she rides with me she says, "Go Baba".  She's so fun to be around.  We are truly having the best time and we feel so blessed that God has placed her in our family. 
     Yesterday marked our one year anniversary of getting Isabella.  We celebrated with a home cook family dinner, balloons and cake!!  Isabella was so happy.  Dawn and I keep referring to yesterday as Isabella Day.
     Okay, now for the exciting news!!  Dawn and I are opening our hearts to adopting another child and we've already been matched with a beautiful little boy from China.  We decided to name him Francis Wynn Fegel.  We like to refer to him as Wynn for short.  He is from the same province as Isabella and also has Cleft Lip and Palate.  His lip has been repaired and we hope to travel sometime before next summer to pick him up.  We are so excited about Wynn and Isabella is already calling him brother.  We ask that everyone keep Wynn and us in your prayers. 
     I'm going to post pictures from the last couple of months so everyone can see Isabella.  I won't be able to post pictures of Wynn until we receive our letter of acceptance from China.  We will post monthly updates so everyone can keep track of what's going on.  Pictures will be uploaded before the end of the week.

Post Surgery Isabella Pictures

     Isabella is getting better everyday except that she still can't seem to sleep through the night.  Her arm braces keep her from tossing and turning and she wakes up when she wants to move around.  We're praying for a speedy recovery so Isabella can rest and relax throughout the night. 

     We went to Augusta for Isabella's first follow up appointment with her surgeon and he said that she is healing well and her arm braces can come off the first week in November as long as she doesn't put her fingers or toys in her mouth.  However she will be able to stop wearing her braces the day before thanksgiving as her surgeon said that all of stitches should have dissolved by then.  Please continue to pray for Isabella and thank you to our friends and family for your support. 

Three Months with Isabella!!!

     Well it's been three months and Isabella is walking better and loves it when mommy and daddy chase her around the house.  She has such a great little giggle.  Isabella had her Cleft Palate surgery last week and she seems to be recovering well so thank you everyone for your support and prayers.  Please continue to keep praying that Isabella heals quickly.  Dawn and I are having such a wonderful time with Isabella.  Dawn and I would also like to thank Aunt Debbie and my Mom for taking the time and helping me and Dawn out during Isabella's recovery.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, both of you have been a real blessing!!  Some of the things that Isabella likes to do is pretending to talk on a phone just like mommy and daddy and it's just too cute to see!!  Also Isabella loves riding in her red wagon and sometimes Alex (Our family cat) likes to hop in and join her for a ride.

     We will have a number of post surgery appointments with Isabella's surgeon over the next couple of months so please pray that all of her appointments go well and Isabella is recovering as expected.  Dawn and I would also like to thank all of friends and family who supported us and taken the time to see Isabella.  I'll post some pictures soon so everyone can all see how Isabella is doing!!  Thanks and God bless, Frank & Dawn
